1. Information We Collect
When you use our extension, we collect minimal information to provide the service:
- Account Information: If you sign in, we receive your email address and Google User ID for authentication and plan management.
- Usage Data: We temporarily process the YouTube Video ID and selected timestamps to generate your video clip.
- Analytics: We record basic usage metrics (number of clips generated) to enforce plan limits and monitor system health.
2. What We Don't Collect or Store
- We do not permanently store any video files generated by you. Videos exist on our servers only during the ~30 second rendering process and are immediately deleted.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not track your browsing history outside of the active YouTube video tab where you click the extension.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the extension:
- Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication (Firebase Auth), database storage of user limits (Firestore), and cloud processing (Cloud Functions).
- Paddle: Used for secure payment processing. We do not see or store your credit card details.
- YouTube API Services: We use YouTube APIs to fetch transcripts and upload videos to your channel (only if you explicitly authorize it). Your use of the extension is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
